Evacuating Chinese Citizens from Egypt and Libya

In January 2011, situation in Egypt mutated, the society was in a state of uncertainty. HNA undertook the work of helping evacuate fellow citizens. From January 31 to February 4, with the original two normal flights, HNZ added another two flights to Cairo and brought back 816 people delayed in Egypt. Meanwhile, HNZ further transported nearly 40 tons materials such as drinking water and food for the local people. In the process of assisting Chinese citizens to evacuate from Egypt, HNA office in Cairo successfully guaranteed the flights of HNA and further provided help for another three charter flights of Air China and another two charter flights of China Eastern Airlines. In February 2011, serious riots occurred in the north African country-Libya and they spread rapidly and became severer. The security situation was severely deteriorated. HNA again responded to the call of the country and sent 15 chartered planes to execute in total 30 non-stop flights in 8 days from February 26 to March 5. Among them, 11 planes were sent to Crete, Grace to execute 22 flights; 8 planes were sent to Bulger Island, Tunisia for four times to execute 8 flights and 4,054 Chinese were brought back. Thus, the task was successfully accomplished.

HNA decided to undertake the responsibility and help evacuate fellow citizens without hesitation. 15 chartered planes were sent to execute 34 non-stop flights, 4,870 Chinese were brought back and finished the tasks given by the Party and the state with high social responsibility and mission.
